Care tips for ceramic surfaces
Cleaning
Daily care and cleaning
You can use a standard household cleaner (e.g. glass cleaner, detergent – with no additives) or even a mild vinegar-based cleaner. Then rinse with plenty of clear water to prevent a dirty film from remaining on the surface.
Stubborn stains and intensive cleaning
For intensive cleaning, we recommend using a mildly abrasive cleaning agent like Cif or a cleaning stone. Scrub the entire surface while running warm water (do not scrub while dry) with light pressure and circular movements. Avoid applying too much scrubbing pressure to one spot. Rinse again with plenty of clear water to remove the rest of the detergent.
Usage
Extreme temperatures
Please take care not to place any boiling hot containers (pans, gratin dishes, grill plates, etc.) directly on the surface, as the localised heat can cause stress cracks. Always use a trivet.
Protect your knives
Because ceramic is much harder than steel, the blade of your knife will become dull in next to no time if you cut directly on it. A cutting board will protect your knives.
